Happy Oral Health Month!
It's finally April, and although we've enjoyed a mild winter, I'm sure we can all really appreciate that warmer weather is here. Speaking of appreciation,
this month we celebrate National Dental Hygienist Week (April 9-15), giving us the opportunity to show how much we appreciate the people who take such good care of our smiles.
Because April is both Oral Health Month and Oral Cancer Awareness month, our featured article talks about the oral cancer warning signs to look out for
and the importance of regular oral cancer screenings. If it's been a while since your last checkup, contact our office to
book a screening.
Wishing you a happy and healthy month,
The Upper Avenue Dentistry Team

The term 'Oral Cancer' includes cancerous growths in the cheeks, lips, mouth, throat, sinus, tongue, or anywhere in the oral cavity. As with most cancers,
age is the primary risk factor for oral cancer, as most people diagnosed with a form of oral cancer are over 55.
