November 2018: Tips, eNews & More!

November is a busy time of the year. Right after a fun-filled Halloween, we are still nursing our candy hangovers while trying to get everything done before the holidays arrive.

This is the best time to prepare for the colder months so you can relax later. Make sure you take your winter clothes and boots out of storage, put snow tires on if you have them, remove the garden hose so your pipes don't freeze, and enjoy a steaming cup of hot chocolate or hot apple cider.

Colder weather also means increased teeth sensitivity when eating, drinking, or even just going outside in the cool weather. Tooth sensitivity can be caused by a broken or decaying tooth, or worn down enamel from grinding. If you have been experiencing tooth sensitivity, make sure to get in touch with us, so we can get to the root of the problem.

With the end of the year approaching, if your dental benefits are based on the calendar year, you'll want to make sure you get in your checkup so they don't go to waste! Also, if you have more significant work that you've been holding off from starting, speak to us about options to split it between your 2018 and 2019 insurance allotment. Try and book an appointment as early as possible as they fill up fast.

Keep Smiling,

The Upper Avenue Dentistry Team
